We are a renowned organization that is engaged in manufacturing, supplying and wholesaling high quality Liquid Chlorinated Paraffin Wax. Processed by chlorination of liquid in alkenes or paraffin wax, our offered range is used as plasticizers conjunction with primary such as certain phthalates in flexible PVC. Moreover, these chemicals are considered as effective extreme pressure additives for lubricants.
Features:
- Relatively inert
- Non - corrosive
- Good resistance to acids and alkalies
Other Detail:
We formulate Chlorinated Paraffin Wax by chlorination of liquid in alkenes or paraffin wax that contains 30% to 70% chlorine. The by-product in this chlorination process is HCI.
These products can be classified into three groups according to the chain length:
- Short chain (C10 – C13)
- Medium chain (C14 - C17)
- Long chain (C18 - C30)
The properties of these chemicals are largely dependent on their chlorine content, which are as follows:
- Solubility in water: 1.7 to 236 μg/L at 25°C
- pH: In the range from 5.06 to 7.12
Characteristics:
- Soluble in Esters, Ether, Chlorinated Hydrocarbons, Ketones (expect Acetone) and Hydrocarbons
- Compatible with most of the resins, plastics and a wide range of plasticizers
- Relatively inert
- Non - corrosive
- Good resistance to acids and alkalies
Uses:
- In PVC compounding industry, as a secondary plasticizers in the manufacturing of shoe soles, suction hose pipes tubing, cable, wires and carpets among others
- Additive as a flame retardant in rubber compound systems and in industrial lubricants as gear oil
- In anti corrosive and flame proof paints in the paint industry
- As a flexible coating in carbon paper
Application:
- Paraffin's are primarily used as plasticizers conjunction with primary such as certain phthalates in flexible PVC. There are a number of technical benefits of using chlorinated paraffin in PVC like fire resistance, which make them ideal for PVC flooring and cables
- These are also used as plasticizers in paint sealants and adhesives as these offer various advantages over other alternatives like inertness and the enhancement of flame retardant properties
- The chemicals with higher chlorine content are used as flame retardants in rubber and polymer systems as opposed to phosphate and bromine based on additives
- Another prime application area of these chemicals is the formulation of metal working lubricants Additionally, the chemicals are considered as an effective extreme pressure additives for lubricants that are used in a wide range of machining & engineering operations
Compositions:
- Viscosity (50C)mpa.s: 150-250
- Density(50deg.c),g/cm3: 1.23-1.25
